Nordea Bank joins the largest youth project in Latvia – the Week of Open Doors – held this year throughout Latvia from 13 to 17 April.  The Bank will host more than 260 school children and students who will learn about the daily work of various specialists and  making informed choices about a future career.

Registration is now open for guided tours at Nordea Bank offered all week long. Undergraduates from universities are particularly welcome on 13 and 15 April, while high school graduates interested in a finance-related career path – on 14, 16 and 17 April. During the tours, young people will meet various specialists, including a Private Banking Advisor, Risk Management and Compliance Specialist, Financial Transaction Monitoring Specialist, Marketing and PR managers, as well as a Financial Fitness Coach from the Nordea Money School.

Considering the large number of trainees at Nordea Bank each year and increasing interest from young people, the guided tours will also be a chance to obtain information about the internship programme.

Zigmārs Valtmanis, Head of Nordea Human Resources Department in Latvia: "Career opportunities at Nordea Bank are not only confined to Latvia but are also available on an international level since the Group employs more than 30,000 people. Many of the Bank's interns have gone on to achieve success within the organization. Our experience shows that every fourth trainee becomes a Nordea employee; that is a very positive fact. This is one of the reasons why we are so enthusiastic about joining new educational projects, meeting young people, sharing stories about our careers and showing the daily work of various specialists at the Bank so that they are educated and able to make informed choices about their careers."
