At the close of the assessment of the Sustainability Index 2015, this year Nordea was awarded the Golden category among 73 Latvian companies, including five companies in the financial sector.

Head of Nordea Latvia Jānis Buks: “It gives me great joy and gratification to receive this recognition which certifies the bank's efforts and good practices in the management of corporate social responsibility. To objectively assess our performance, we attribute particular importance to third party assessments — our employees, clients, cooperation partners and sector experts — which allows for the critical assessment of our everyday activities and implementation of the best principles of corporate social responsibility management.”

This year, Nordea Bank repeatedly received the recognition “Family-Friendly Merchant” awarded by the RoL Ministry of Welfare to employers with family- and child-friendly policies and services and the recognition “Company Equal in Gender Rights”.

This year, Nordea Bank issued its fourth annual report on the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Nordea's Latvia Branch, which describes the bank's CSR strategy and implemented activities, as well as goals and main tasks to be fulfilled.

About the Sustainability Index
