In thinking about the security of customer data while shopping online, Nordea will also ensure its customers the opportunity to make secure e-purchases by using Nordea Maestro Payment Cards starting October 1.
Further on, to make an online purchase by Nordea Maestro Payment Card, the customer will be invited to enter both their Nordea Netbank user number and a code from the bank's code card or the code calculator, thus guaranteeing both higher security and protection of customers' personal data from third parties.
This service will be automatically activated for Nordea's customers October 1. In turn, in cases when the customer's card is linked with additional cards, the owners of which are not Nordea Netbank users, it will be possible to access the Netbank at any of Nordea's Customer Service Unit.
By using Nordea payment cards, including the Nordea Maestro Payment Card, the bank's customers can make easy and beneficial purchases not only online, but also in stores, restaurants, beauty salons, sport clubs, hotels and in over 200 points of sale across Latvia, receiving discounts up to 30%.
