As of this week Nordea customers - private individuals - are offered a new option, to remotely fill in all the information necessary for the submission of “Know your customer” application form and consequently opening the bank account. Application portal may be accessed hereOpens new window.

To open an account remotely, the customer has to fill in an application form for the opening of the bank account and the application form “Know your customer". After receiving a phone call from the bank on the next day, the customer shall visit the nearest Nordea client service centre to verify his/her identity in person and to sign all the documents necessary to receive banking services.

Previously only the corporate customers of the Bank could remotely fill in the application for opening a current account. From now on the advantages of the remote solutions will be available both for the companies and private individuals.

“This is another step forward in our contemporary lifestyle to ensure appropriate service. We continue working in order to offer our customers an option to order bank payment cards, Customer’s  packages, consumer credits and other products remotely very soon”, says Janis Paksis, Head of Nordea Digital Banking Product Service Development in Baltic States.

The customer applications submitted remotely are processed by Nordea Online Communication team, which after the processing of the received information contacts the Customer within one business day to agree on a personal meeting.
