Luminor Bank’s CEO will leave Luminor on 30 June 2024 to return to Austria and become the new Chief Executive Officer of Erste Group Bank AG, one of the largest financial services providers in Central and Eastern Europe.
During Peter’s tenure, Luminor has successfully delivered improvements in efficiency, profitability, and customer experience, and also strengthened its risk management, all key elements of its strategy to become the leading independent bank in the Baltics.
Nils Melngailis, Chair of Luminor’s Supervisory Council, said:
‘Peter leaves Luminor with my thanks for all he has achieved during his tenure as our CEO. I am pleased he has agreed to remain as Chief Executive until next year, working closely with the Council and leading the Management Board to ensure a smooth transition, while we decide on his successor.
Peter Bosek, added:
‘I am proud of what we have accomplished during my time at Luminor. It has been a pleasure to have led so many talented, hardworking, and diligent colleagues. It has not been an easy decision for me to return home to Vienna and Erste. I know, however, I leave Luminor in good hands and with a great future. I am also honored to be offered the opportunity to lead Austria’s largest bank.
