Proceeding with digital service improvements, Luminor Bank has modernized the ATM network throughout Latvia, replacing most of its 172 ATMs, which will provide customers with a safer, more friendly service and more personalized experience. The Bank now has one of the most modern ATM networks in the Baltics, and its modernization has been carried out in cooperation with Worldline, a European leader in payment and transaction services.

“Continuing to develop our banking services, we have modernized our ATM network to improve the customer experience and make ATM operations even more convenient and secure. Out ATMs will be one of the most modern ATMs in the Baltics, which will meet the newest technological capabilities and security requirements. A number of innovations will be available at ATMs, such as a secure contactless access without inserting the bank card in ATM, which will make it easier to use. The Bank plans to further improve the accessibility of digital services to our customers, and the development of remote services is among Luminor's targets,” says Kerli Gabrilovica, Head of Retail of Luminor Bank.

Most of ATMs are now accessible to people with reduced mobility in wheel-chairs, the ATMs will be lower-placed and hence easier to access, as well as they will be accessible to the visually impaired and blind as ATMs will be equipped with the Braille keyboard. ATM screens are brighter, with improved visibility even in bright sunlight or lighting conditions.

At ATMs, customers can also deposit and withdraw cash with a code created in their Internet bank, for example, if they have left the card at home. The depositing and withdrawal option for US dollars will also be available at 20 ATMs. For the customers convenience when making cash deposits, ATMs provide the option of choosing from the list of the customer's accounts one in which they want to make deposits, thus immediately replenishing the desired account without making any additional cash transfer in the Internet bank.

Until now, the Luminor ATM network has been managed separately in each of the Baltic countries. As a result of merging the network, ATM management has become more efficient, providing consistent functionality to the Bank's customers throughout all Baltic countries.
